What is a low fin tube?
Data:2024-05-17 Author:Fin tuberadiator Views:90Low fin tube is a special heat exchange element, which is often used in heat exchangers such as condensers and evaporators in air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
The following is a detailed introduction to the low fin tube:
Structural features:
A low-fin tube is a finned tube (fin) of a certain height, a certain pitch and a certain thickness formed on the outer surface of the optical tube (usually a metal tube) by means of mechanical processing.
Together with the light tube, these fins form the main structure of the low-fin tube.
The structural parameters mainly include the inner diameter and outer diameter of the fin tube, the wall thickness of the fin tube, the pitch of the fin (the distance between the fins), the thickness of the fin and the height of the fin,
etc. Among them, the fin height is generally less than 10mm, and the fin spacing in the low fin tube is generally between 1mm-5mm.
Performance characteristics:
The low-finned tube mainly relies on the outside of the tube finning (the finning coefficient is 2~3) to expand the heat transfer area. Compared with the light tube,
the low-fin tube has a larger surface area in the case of consuming the same metal material, thus improving the heat transfer efficiency.
The design of fin can make the heat transfer surface peel off the flow layer, increase the heat transfer surface disturbance, so as to improve the heat transfer effect and realize the secondary heat transfer enhancement.
The low-finned tube has excellent anti-fouling properties. Due to the low fin, dirt tends to form parallel scales along the crest edge and is not easy to accumulate on the fin. In addition,
the expansion and contraction of the tube during operation will prevent dirt formation.
The low fin tube is made of ordinary plain tube as blank, which is made by simple rolling processing. Its mechanical strength and corrosion resistance are no less than the original plain tube blank,
which can ensure the long-term reliable operation of the heat exchanger.
Application field:
Low fin tubes are widely used in heat exchangers such as condensers and evaporators, absorption freezers, and oil coolers in air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
It is also used in thermal and nuclear power plant heat exchangers, Marine exchangers, gas turbine units and air coolers, diesel coolers, secondary coolers and various heat exchangers in waste heat recovery systems used in the petroleum industry,
as well as dryers and heaters used in the chemical industry.
In general, low-finned tubes have been widely used in industrial production because of their high heat transfer efficiency, anti-fouling and high mechanical strength.
