Extruded Fin Tube Product Description:
Extruded Finned Tube normally is consist of two kinds of metallic tube.
The outer tube is normally aluminium tube while the inner tube are often copper or steel tube. The outer fins are processed by cold rotary extrusion machine as follow of picture.
Initially the outer tube’s diameter is bigger than inner tube diameter, then the outer tube is pushed through three arbors with rotating discs which extrude the aluminium fins up and out of the aluminium tube in a spiral shape.
Then the outer aluminum tube diameter reduces and fit to the inner tube closely, forming a tight mechanical bond between the inner and outer tubes, making the gap disapper and ensuring good heat transfer efficiency.
Extruded Finned Tube Manufacturing Process:
The fins are rotary cold rolled from a smooth thick walled hollow blank tube slid over the core tube. Three multi spindle disc packs extrude the hollow blank tube into helical high fins.
During this process the inner diameter of the hollow blank tube is reduced and at the same time pressed on the core tube. This results in a mechanically solid joint.
Fin Material: Aluminium/Copper.
Core Tube Material: Carbon Steel/ Carbon
Alloy Steel/Stainless Steel/ Nickel Alloys/Copper/Copper Alloys/Titanium.
Extruded Fin Tubes Advantages:
1) Thermal
The bonding of the outer and inner tubes removes the risk of loss of contact with the aluminium due to thermal stress.
Maximum operating temperature: 250°C. The transfer coeffcient remains steady. Additionally as the outer sleeve is continuous no electrolytic couple is created.
2) Mechanical
The fins are more rigid and stand the handling shocks better,compared to types "G" an "L".
Extruded Aluminum Fin Tube Properties:
High heat transfer performance, low contact resistance;
The fin has a large contact area with the tube, which is close and reliable;
Good corrosion resistance and stable long-term service performance;
The fin has good rigidity and is not easy to deform.
It is widely used in steel, petroleum, chemical, machinery, shipbuilding, power station, hospital and food industries.

Those are applied for Heat Exchanger Field , Oil refineries, Petrochemical industry, Ship-building, Power Plant Refrigeration.
