Extruded Fin Tube Product Description:

The Extruded Fin Tube also known as Bimetallic Fin Tube is one of the most preferred finning processes for various applications.

The fins are manufactured by Extruding the Fins on the Aluminum Muff Tube which is made to Fit with close tolerance over the Base Tube.

The Extrusion takes place on a Continuous Fin Extruder with Three Tooling rolls and extrusion takes place at high pressures in the range of 1200 psi. Because of the cold working process the Bond between the Tube and fin is flawless and hence gives excellent Heat Transfer Efficiency. At the same time the mechanical strength of the fins is also enhanced drastically.

 

Extruded Finned Tube Manufacturing Process:

A carefully degreased core tube is fitted into an aluminium primary tube.This assembly is then fed into the triple-spindle finning head of the fin-extruding machine. Three special multi-disc packs extrude the aluminium tube into helical high fins while reducing the inner diameter to give firm pressure contact with the core tube

Extruded Fin Tubes Advantages:

1) Thermal

The bonding of the outer and inner tubes removes the risk of loss of contact with the aluminium due to thermal stress.

Maximum operating temperature: 250°C. The transfer coeffcient remains steady. Additionally as the outer sleeve is continuous no electrolytic couple is created.

2) Mechanical

The fins are more rigid and stand the handling shocks better,compared to types "G" an "L".
