What is an air cooled heat exchanger?

   An air-cooled heat exchanger is a device used to transfer heat from a fluid to the surrounding air. It consists of finned tubes through which the hot fluid flows, and ambient air passes over the fins, cooling the fluid inside the tubes. These are commonly used in industries where water is scarce or its use is restricted.
