Air cooler features
The advantages and disadvantages of air cooling compared to traditional industrial cooling systems with water as the cooling medium are shown in Table 1. It can be seen from the table that air coolers are suitable for use in water-scarce areas or water-cooled areas with serious scaling and corrosion. Generally, it is more advantageous to use air cooling under the following conditions.
(1) The difference between the thermal fluid outlet temperature and the air inlet temperature is >15℃.
(2) The thermal fluid outlet temperature is >55 ° C, and its allowable fluctuation range is >5 ° C.
(3) The design air temperature is <38℃.
(4) Effective logarithmic mean temperature difference ≥40℃.
(5) The heat transfer coefficient of the hot fluid in the tube is <2300W/(m2 *℃).
(6) The freezing point of the hot fluid is <0℃.
(7) The allowable pressure drop of the hot fluid on the tube side is >10kPa, and the design pressure is >100kPa.
